 We have a fantastic opening for an experienced Manager to join us to lead and manage Sesame, a home shared by   four young adults with learning disabilities in Torquay.. We are looking for someone with the right expertise, values, motivation and determination to succeed as well as being able to embrace the opportunity to lead Sesame from Requires Improvement (CQC May 2018) to Good and Outstanding.

Although judged as Good in Caring and Responsive, some improvements were identified and as such we are already making good progress in these areas. It goes without saying this will be a challenging role but also rewarding one. Whilst working alongside a well-established and committed staff team, relatives who speak highly about the service and good partnership working, you will have the opportunity to develop, innovate and ensure the very best quality of care, support and outcomes are achieved for the residents we are so privileged to support.

 To join us as the Registered Manager you’ll need to:

 -          Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or recognised equivalent), those without the relevant qualification will not unfortunately be able to be considered.

-          Be able to demonstrate both recent and relevant management experience in adult learning disability residential care including people, home and resources management.

-          Have full and thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations, Health and Social Care Act, Care Act and CQC framework.

-          Have the ability to asses and evaluate service user needs as well ensuring best person centred care planning and support practices with safeguarding, equality, respect and dignity at the heart of your day to day leadership and management of the service.
