With 20 years of success, Lifeworks provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and young adults with learning disabilities. We’re now looking for a Weekend Cook to join our team at Robins, our Residential & Respite Home in Dartington for children and young people with learning disabilities, on a part time basis working over the weekend.

As a Weekend Cook, you’ll be preparing home-cooked, nutritious meals for residents and staff at our home.

Using a wide range of ingredients, you’ll prepare a varied menu that caters for all tastes. You’ll also prepare meals for residents with specific needs and dietary requirements.

Interested? If so, you will need:

- Experience of working in a kitchen

- To hold a recognised catering qualification (i.e. City & Guilds 706/2)

- Level 2 NVQ Food Safety Qualification and Level 2 NVQ Food Preparation

Dedicated and organised, as our Weekend Cook, you’ll need strong planning skills, close attention to detail and an empathetic, flexible approach.

Knowledge of soft diets would be beneficial to your application.

This is a part time role working seven hours per week over the weekend. Saturday, 1pm – 3pm and Sunday 10am – 3pm.
