About your tutor

Helen Smith is an accredited trainer with more than 15 years experience of designing and delivering disability equality related training sessions across all three sectors.

She has also worked with and for people with disabilities during that period and gained a great understanding of the barriers and issues people face across the range of disability.

In addition, Helen herself has an acquired disability and can therefore not only share her lived experience of disability but can empathise with non-disabled people’s concerns and issues.

Her training style is to provide fun practical-exercise based learning in a relaxed environment.
