  • Create a sense of urgency when dealing with neglect
  • Work collaboratively with adult facing services

Event Description:

This conference will support the launch of the Devon Neglect Strategy and the tools which will be used to support practitioners working with families where neglect is a significant issue.  Neglect can be a complex problem and cases often drift as professionals wait for signs of improvement, but the impact on children can be significant and long lasting.

This conference will consider how early and effective identification and intervention can make a difference.  Confirmed speakers include Professor Sue White professor of social work at Sheffield University, Dr Warren Larkin a leading authority on adverse childhood experiences and Dr Debbie Stalker, Paediatrician and designated doctor for safeguarding.  There will also be a number of workshops which will shortly be available for booking.

Lunch is included.
