Description :

Full-time (37 hours per week) base options Newton Abbot, North Devon, Exeter or Plymouth (some flexible home working)

Fixed-Term Contract for 12 Months, with an aim that the role will continue beyond this.

We have been supporting the wellbeing of young people in Devon for the last 20 years and this is a chance to work for a respected local Charity within an established experienced team.  We are looking for someone who shares our values and enjoys working with young people to continue to develop the offer and respond to local need.

This is a training role within the Children and Young People’ Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (CYP IAPT).  Working within Young Devon’ services as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome –informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing, mild to moderate anxiety, low mood and with behavioural difficulties.  The training and service experience will equip the post holder with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to operate effectively in an inclusive, value driven service.

The post holder will attend all university taught and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed national curriculum and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

This role will start on January 10th 2022 and the University course is a 12-month programme, starting January 20th 2022
