Director of Therapeutic Services - Pete's Dragons

Pete's Dragons is an award winning charity which provides postvention support to all those affected by suicide across the county of Devon. The charity is fast-paced and fast-growing therefore you need to be comfortable with and even relish change. This is a new role which has the exciting opportunity of being shaped by the post holder to some extent whilst maintaining and improving on the high standard of support currently offered.

Job summary: The Director of Therapeutic Services will lead on, and take overall responsibility for, all aspects of Pete’s Dragons’ therapeutic services. They will line manage eight members of staff (Suicide Liaison Officers) as well as undertaking service delivery duties (such as the assessment of need with people who have referred into the Pete’s Dragons and delivery of appropriate support interventions to a caseload of service users, including 1:1, group and family support). They will also be responsible for outreach, development and service promotion. 

Reporting to: CEO

Base: Pete’s Dragons HQ, Exmouth

Hours: 40 hours per week

Holiday: 28 days per year (inc. Bank Holidays)

Contract: Full-time, Permanent.
