DYS Space - Chances Administrator

20 hrs p/w 40 weeks per year term time + non pupil days and 5 days within the school holiday period

Working pattern:  5 days 10am - 2pm

Salary:  NJC pts 12 - 17 (£17,173.00 - £18,672.00 fte)

DYS Space Ltd (space*) works to unlock potential with young people and their communities. We have an exciting opportunity at our Independent School, Chances, for a dynamic and determined administrator to join us.  

We want to appoint an outstanding and creative administrator at our school in Red Rock Youth Centre, Dawlish. You’ll work alongside experienced youth workers and teachersas part of our Chances Education Support Service team. We deliver a core curriculum  to young people in key stage 3 and 4. Chances works with young people, often facing multiple challenges, referred from schools and local authority departments, who could benefit from our unique blend of formal and informal education packages. Students are referred for short and effective intervention, outside of mainstream education in order to reduce exclusions and de-escalate some of the challenges. 

We are seeking a resilient individual who is able to develop trust with vulnerable students and with colleagues and who enjoys learning from mistakes - their own and others’. Chances is committed to safeguarding young people and staff. Appointment is subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and references.
