With 20 years of success, Lifeworks provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and young adults with learning disabilities. We are now looking for Support Workers to join our team on a fixed-term basis contract, supporting the delivery of the Extraordinary Young People Programme.

"Extraordinary Young People" will be designed and developed in partnership with learning disabled young people, joining the process through their participation in Lifeworks Young Volunteers programme, which has served as a pilot for "Extraordinary Young People."

Your Job will include

  • Supporting the Lifeworks Young Volunteer Coordinator in the development and Implementation of the Lifeworks Young Volunteers programme: Extraordinary Young People (EYP).
  • Working as a team member in supporting learning disabled young people participate in the Extraordinary Young People (EYP) programme.
  • Enabling learning disabled young volunteers to:
    • Participate as leaders
    • Participate in training
    • Undertake accreditation
    • Inspire participation
    • Sustain and build youth led community projects
    • Explore vocational progression routes as a result of participation
