Participation Worker
0.5 FTE, 18.5 hours per week. Initially offered on a Fixed Term 12 month contract with a view to extension due to funding
Salary £19,887 starting salary, pro rata for Part-Time Posts [Actual Salary for 18.5 hours: £9,943.49]

You will

• encourage and promote cared for and care experienced children and young people’s participation and voice in Torbay Youth Trust’s Cared For Community projects

• work alongside cared for and care experienced young people to facilitate free expression of their experiences, exploring how they would like to improve services and put these into action for change

• work alongside and support children and young people who are part of the wider Torbay Youth Trust community, developing relationships of trust which is at the core of our work

You will have

• excellent proven communication skills with young people & the ability to engage children & young people in groups and to help them find their voice

• a proven ability to work with young people with challenging behaviours

• a level 2 Youth Work qualification or or other relevant level 2 qualification
