Socops Project Manager

Required to develop and deliver weekly activities for Scoops Club and Scoops Plus - a registered charity that provides weekly activities for children and young people aged 7 to 23 years who are on the autistic spectrum (high functioning) and support for their families.

Scoops club 7-15 years meet on Saturday mornings term time only at 100 club Wear Barton Road Exeter.  Scoops plus 15 to 23 years meet monthly one evening a week in the community, promoting independence and social experiences.

Fixed term annual contract currently 10 hours a week for Scoops club plus extra hours for Scoops plus. 

Applicants should have a knowledge and understanding of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). They should be a good organiser and have the skills to manage volunteers and play leaders.

They should be able to communicate with Children and young people with ASD and have an awareness of the social experiences the children and young people require to promote their social development.

This is a chance to to work with  children and young people with ASD and their families and to gain further knowledge and experience of ASD and its effect on family life.  Applicants must be committed to good practice and continued professional development.

Employment is conditional of an enhanced DBS check and the completion of essential training.
