Description :

Salary - £18,411 per annum (pro-rata) increasing to £19,433 per annum (pro-rata) after 12 months training (following the training and experience offered we expect this person to be able to evidence their progress and the role will be enhanced to a Lead Worker role, subject to them being able to fulfil the requirements of a job description).

Part-time (22.2 hours per week) based at our Exeter Youth Enquiry Service

Building quality relationships with young people is at the centre of every Young Devon service.  As part of our homeless prevention service we aim to significantly reduce the number of potentially homeless young people in Exeter, East Devon and Teignbridge.

Working as part of Exeter Youth Enquiry Service team this role will give comprehensive, realistic housing advice and support to young people, predominantly 16/17-year old’s and young people leaving care. Through building professional relationships with Young people using a Youth Work person-centred approach the role seeks to engage young people in a nationally recognised homelessness prevention pathway.

We would like to offer the opportunity for someone who has a passion and interests to work alongside young people at risk of homelessness to train and develop the skills required.
