Designed for experienced practitioners looking to refresh their Group 2 Child Protection Training, this course offers a shorter but equally rounded, informative and practice focussed renewal process.
Target group: This course is only available to people who have completed their Group 2 (Awareness) with VOYC or Devon Safeguarding Children Partnership and is not suitable for new starters or those coming from outside the sector with other training.

a reminder of legislative frameworks and guidance in safeguarding children and young people including recent updates.
an understanding of what “safe” looks like in your organisation.
renewed knowledge of what the common signs are for the different types of abuse and neglect that our children and young people might experience.
reinforced information on how to report a safeguarding concern in your setting and in Devon as a whole.
an appreciation as to why safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
