Description :

BISnet provides support to families of children and young people with Neuro-diversity and conditions such as Autism, ADHD/ADD and learning difficulties. As well as working with the children and young people themselves

BIS-Net offers a wide range of services, including:

  • Training services for parents and carers
  • Relationship Development Intervention (RDI®) consultation
  • Family Therapy service
  • Community Support

We are looking to recruit a Personable, imaginative, enthusiastic and motivated new lead for the service to continue the much valued work and to take it forward.

 

MAIN PURPOSE:

  • To manage the Bisnet service and to support and line manage Bisnet mentors
  • To increase the confidence and ability of individuals who are neurodiverse to be more independent and socially active
  • To reduce the sense of isolation and lack of support experienced by parents and carers who support individuals who are neurodiverse
  • Work with families offering a range of behaviour support strategies, so that neurodiverse children, young people and adults are better prepared for more independent, socially active and fulfilled lives both at home and in the community
  • Work with organisations to develop a wider understanding of distressed, unsafe or high risk behaviours
  • Offer training and support to parents, carers, professionals on how to support distressing, unsafe or high risk behaviours
  • Market Bisnet services as widely as possible, updating and monitoring a range of social media platforms.

ABOUT YOU:

· Certified in a behaviour or developmental process such as PBS, RDI, SCERTS or equivalent

· Certified in therapeutic process such as CBT, narrative therapy or equivalent

· Knowledge of a range of disabilities and related issues and approaches

· Experience of working with people with unsafe, distressed and high risk behaviours

· Able to deliver training to a group of people with confidence

· Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure

· Belief in the person’s right to be at the centre of their life and their provision
