37Hrs – Full -Time – (13 Months Fixed Term Contract – with possible opportunity to extend after training)

Devon Children Centres (South, North, Exeter, Mid & East and Torbay) provide a service as part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering, under supervision, high-quality; outcome-informed, focused, evidence-based interventions for children under 8 years old and their parents or carers.
This post is for a Children and Families Practitioner and is also a CYP-IAPT training role. The postholder will attend Exeter University, participate with self-study days required by the education provider as specified, and work in the service for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills. This training and service experience will equip you with the necessary knowledge, attitude and capabilities to operate effectively within the wider targeted early help Children's Centre service.

You will make a difference by:
- Providing a high-quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and is outcomes driven;
- Delivering a complex and specialist intervention with children, young people or families on a 1:1 basis, group or community setting;
- Retaining accurate and contemporaneous records, using various IT systems to capture information and to produce written reports and present these as necessary.

You will need:
- Relevant experience of working with children, parents and/or young people, two years or more;
- Evidence of ability to study successfully at undergraduate level, or the equivalent, and to evaluate and put into place the effect of the training;
- Excellent computing skills, evidence of competence and confidence, including virtual meetings and training.
