Exeter Communities Together - Project Co-Ordinator

Salary: £16,414.80 (0.6 FTE/3 days a week – SPC30/SO1: £27,358)

Opportunity Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until May 2022 approx. (3-year contract)

Hours: 24 hours per week, working hours variable to meet the needs of the service. Attendance at some evening and weekend events will be expected.

Interview Date: 18 or 19 July 2019

This is a new and exciting role suited to someone with experience of coordinating and delivering community projects, including public events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be needed, and knowledge and experience of working with BAME communities will be an advantage.

The successful candidate will help to deliver a wide and varied range of project activities across the city, working in partnership with grassroots community organisations, voluntary and statutory agencies and organisations, and the wider public. Their energy and enthusiasm will be the gel that brings these groups together. 

They will work alongside and under the management of the Exeter Communities Together (ECT) Manager in managing and delivering the objectives of Exeter Communities Together project. This is not a 9 to 5, three days a week job!
