Home-Start Co-ordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for Home-Start Exeter, East and Mid Devon - we are recruiting a full time (37hrs a week) peripatetic Co-ordinator; two part time posts may also be considered.

You will be responsible for recruiting, training, supervising and supporting a team of volunteers, and working with families within a multi-agency environment. Parenting experience and an understanding of the needs of families is essential, as is a compassionate and welcoming approach; experience of working with families or volunteers would be an advantage. Excellent computer skills will be required and regular use of own car (mileage expenses paid).

The post involves flexible working, based at home, with regular visits to families and volunteers, and the office when required.

The post is subject to a satisfactory criminal records (DBS) check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.

The post is fixed term for 2 years initially.  Induction and relevant training provided, regular supervision, a generous 32 days annual leave entitlement (including bank holidays) and automatic access to an occupational pension.
