Description :

Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship CIO are looking for 2 new volunteer trustees to join our existing team in order to improve the range of professional skills, as well as diversity, on our Board of Trustees.

We are a small charity based on The Dartington Estate near Totnes, who specialise in working with vulnerable young people and adults, with the help of our wonderful herd of horses and beautiful woodland environment.  This way of working is often referred to as Equine Assisted Therapy or Learning and the woodland environment as Ecotherapy.

We are looking to expand our small friendly team of trustees.  We would be especially interested in hearing from anyone with skills in Human Resources, Finance, Legal, Fundraising, Marketing or Charity Law.

Trustees are responsible for ensuring the highest possible standards of governance, the strategic direction of Sirona, and also for developing the charity’s aims, objectives and goals.  Trustees will contribute specific knowledge and expertise to help the Board reach collective decisions in all of the above areas.

Trustees are expected to attend between 4 – 6 trustee meetings each year including an AGM.  Each meeting lasts approximately 2 hours and between meetings there are sometimes tasks to attend to.  There is usually a Christmas meal and some summer events, most of which are held at Buckhams Stables on the Dartington Hall Estate.

If you are interested and would like more information or an application form please contact either Dr. Hannah Burgon (CEO), or Diane Cleave (Administrator) at Sirona Therapeutic Horsemanship CIO, Buckham’s Stables, Old School Farm, Dartington Hall, Totnes, TQ9 6EB.   Diane@sironaequine.org.uk or Hannah@sironaequine.org.uk
