CAP UK (Child Assault Prevention), a well-established charity working across the South West, is looking for a Development Manager to support CAP UK in our sustainability and growth.

CAP UK is a charity that aims to keep children Safe Strong and Free and prevent child abuse. Based on an international programme, CAP has been running in the South West for 26 years. Our approach is to work with the whole school community by running workshops for parents, school staff and with children in whole class groups.

The children’s workshops:-

These focus on empowering primary and secondary school children to understand their rights to safety strength and freedom. CAP teaches children to recognise unsafe situations and gives them strategies to manage these and get help. By using role-play, puppets and discussion the workshops convey these serious messages in a fun, age-appropriate way. Uniquely we work with children from the age of 4 years and upwards, teaching about consent, ownership of their bodies and to recognise grooming.

CAPs adult workshops:-

These help the community understand how to talk to children about keeping safe. We also run child protection training to build confidence in recognising a child that is being abused and how to access support.
