“Kids Who Care” Activities Coordinator - Unite Carers in Mid Devon

13 hours per week (Average).

Annual Salary £8,777.45  per annum (equivalent to NJC  SCP 18). Flexible working times required to include one Saturday and three evenings a  month. The use of a car for work will be required.

Based at Unite – Carers in Mid Devon, 2 Bridge Street, Tiverton. EX16 5LY

• To work with the existing Kids Who Care Activities Coordinator in organising club nights and monthly outings for young carers
• Organising the team of volunteers to make sure there is adequate cover at club nights and monthly outings.   
• Working with the current Activities Coordinator to ensure successful young carer activities.
• Working with the Volunteer Services Manager on recruitment, interviewing, obtaining references, DBS checks, induction training etc.
• Checking and approving volunteer expenses within agreed limits.
• Run refresher training and peer support activities for volunteers.
• Other administrative tasks as required

An Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check will be required for this post together with two references.
