Volunteer Services Manager - Unite Carers in Mid Devon

18.5 hours per week (Average).

Annual Salary £12,490.99 per annum (equivalent to NJC  SCP 18) with the prospect of increasing to £12,995.49 (Equivalent to NJC 20) after a three month trial period. Flexible working times and the use of a car required .  

Based at Unite – Carers in Mid Devon, 2 Bridge Street, Tiverton. EX16 5LY

• Responsible for the recruitment, training and ongoing support for all the charity’s volunteers who provide 1:1 support for adult carers which will include the matching of carers and volunteers and continuing monitoring of those relationships.
• Working as part of a team of trustees, staff and volunteers to provide support for adult carers throughout Mid Devon.   
• Working with the Office Manager to ensure holidays and absences are covered.
• Acting as first respondent for staff and volunteer applicants including initial interview, DBS check and seeking references and induction training.
• Checking and approving volunteer expenses within agreed limits.
• Maintain the adult carers data base and referrals in accordance with data protection regulations.
• Reporting monthly to the Board of Trustees.
• Liaising with other local organisations with similar interest in supporting carers.
• Other administrative tasks as required

 An Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check will be required for this post together with two references.
