Action East Devon is a leading charity providing services to support health and wellbeing in young people, older people and carers in East Devon.  We have exciting opportunities for part time posts in both our Carers Support team and in Headlight, our youth mental health support project. 

Headlight Youth Mental Health Support Project

Action East Devon has received 5 year funding to 2023 from the Big Lottery ‘Reaching Communities’ fund to expand our Headlight activities (currently based Axminster and Ottery St Mary) into other towns in East Devon, including Honiton, Seaton and Sidmouth.  The Mental Health Support Worker in Axminster will support individual young people and the existing staff team of Group Facilitator and volunteers as well as promoting and championing Headlight services to partner individuals and organisations in Axminster and other towns in East Devon as required.  

Mental Health Support Worker in Axminster £24,050 pro rata for 15 hours per week. Tosupport individual young people attending group sessions of youth activity, primarily with our existing Headlight project in Axminster and as required cover for other East Devon Headlight sites. Contract to April 2023. Closing date applications noon 11 October 2019.
